Philippe Starck began his professional career as a designer working for Pierre Cardin.

He designed furniture for President Mitterand’s Elysee Palace Apartment.

He is a prolific designer with most of his designs being furniture, he has worked for Renault, designed cigarette lighters, television sets, and watches.

He is an international figure with a reputation that precedes him.

His most famous furniture pieces are the transparent Louis Ghost chair, Ero|S| chair, Bubble Club Sofa and Armchair, and La Bohème stool.
