Indoor Outdoor Living Areas Makeover

Need another room in your house? Try using your outdoor living area!

While decorating inside the owners of this house decided to create another living space, outdoors! and why not no new roof required, it has to be cheaper than adding on a new room!

The Design Brief:

The outside was accessible from a single door and it had a path around the house.

The remainder was covered in grass, ok in summer, but muddy in winter.

They wanted to be able to use the space all year round for family dining and entertaining.

Action:

Remove posts supporting the eaves, lift concrete paths and some grass.
Install timber bifolding doors into the living room wall, opening out the living space completely into the outdoor garden space.
Find new outdoor furniture suitable for a large group to sit around.

This original space had a lot of potential.
