Dezine Tip
When selecting curtain linings, think about how they will look from the outside of your house. Nothing looks worse than multicolored windows from the street. Select the same lining for all your windows and this will ensure that the outside view is as good as the view of your drapery from the inside!
"I have a great room/bar that has a lot of floor to ceiling wood cabinetry, as well as oak mantels, shelving and bar surround. I want to replace the awful green carpet in the entire room, but is it too much wood to put down hardwood? Should I stick with a Berber neutral color carpet? I don't know how much is too much wood. "You could use timber floor, I would probably use a contrasting color, perhaps a dark timber. The only thing to worry about would be the noise, and you can get around that by using rugs and soft furnishings to absorb any clattering. Your other option of carpet would also work but as it is a bar area, drinks can tend to spill.... a lot more work!" Lee Brown
