Hello and Welcome to Interiordezine.com's News for June

Firstly some housekeeping matters.... this is to any of you who have recently sent us an enquiry via email. For reasons beyond our control, our email was down for at least two weeks. We know that we had enquiries because they were noted in our website statistics but we don't physically have them. When it went back online, we only received a very small portion of what we should have. So if you are still waiting for an answer, we apologize and ask you to send us your query again. We take this time to thank you for being patient.

Some of your earlier enquiries were about definitions that you wanted explained. If you go to the top menu across our home page and click onto Glossary , then pick the first letter of your word, you will probably find it there.

We also note that our recently returned, search function has gone "mad" again, from not searching anything, to bringing up most of the site and taking forever to load. We will look into this. A simpler way at present will be to use our contents page to search for what you want. This is also available on the top menu bar.

Right, housekeeping finished, onto the good stuff!

We have the privilege of an excellent article on color that will make you change the way you dine! Yes, an article with some very interesting facts that could help you lose those few extra pounds, or put them on! Spring into Color, by Zara Stender, CID, IDS, Allied ASID, Member Color Marketing Group and Certified Interior Designer. Finally, after having the photographs in my camera for months we can now have a look at decorative paint effects in the extreme! Yes, this project was not for the weak at heart, take a look at what can be achieved with a bit of imagination and a lot of hard work and creativity. Marbling

For all you designers out there.... if you want to "show off" a project you feel extremely proud of and you think our readers would be interested, contact us and we will give you some guidelines to prepare a submission.

As I have been a little busy this month, I am passing the buck and letting you guys be the monthly feature. Yes over the past seven months I have gathered up some of the queries that we have received (and there have been a lot of them!) and split them up into topics and posted it all on the site at Your Questions Answered . It makes interesting reading and can give you some creative ideas to put to use for everyday design and decorating problems, or just for fun.

PS. I have to confess, the reason I have been so busy was because of the book that I recommended to you all last month! I couldn't help but put it into action. 197 Ways to Improve the Curb Appeal of any House . Anyway, I will cut a long story short and tell you that our house now looks great, it has had a major spruce up, from top to bottom, and we feel very proud of ourselves and thank Aaron Lagadyn for giving us the knowledge and motivation to put the ideas into action. No, we are not selling, but want to do some additions, and the best way to get money from the bank is by getting your house valued, if it looks good, it gets a high valuation and this helps increase the equity in your home, then you can borrow more money! Great!
