It is embroidery with cutwork detail.

Polyester wadding is sandwiched between two layers of fabric and a quilted pattern is machine stitched through all the layers.

Cross Stitch

Is a simple technique that provides decorative effects from complex borders to simple motifs and edgings. It involves working one stitch over the other as a diagonal cross, which fills a tiny square; the stitches build into lines and blocks of colour.

Patchwork

This consists of small pieces of fabric being pieced together - usually of the same size and shape and different fabrics.

Patchwork, a labour of love as it is very time consuming, but produces stunning work.
