Tapware / Faucets - The Shower Head

The shower head in recent years has become more and more sophisticated.

From the very simple form to the complicated systems that clean and massage every part of a person's body.

The shower head may be controlled at the head or by a remote tap system.

It may be sensible to have the control outside the shower to allow it to be regulated before stepping into the shower without getting your hand wet or having to suffer the extremes of the temperature.

  • Some considerations when choosing the shower system are the controls, single lever or two taps?
  • The type of spray head that the shower will produce, is it adjustable in height?
  • How much water will it use for the coverage it gives?
  • Is it a massage shower?
  • Can the water stream be adjusted?
  • Some showers have multiple heads and while they may look wonderful and therapeutic if you are doing a renovation then you need to confirm that the building has enough water pressure to run it.
