20th Century Furniture Designers and Architects
Pablo Pardo - American
Born in Venezuela, from a family of designers, he became an industrial designer. His designs were simple and used few materials.
The Sophie lamp was his career turning point, being used in New York and San Francisco restaurants, it's teardrop cast aluminum body and sandblasted shade created quite a talking point.
Pablo's lamps are a true experience, highly technical but wonderfully simple and sophisticated to look at, giving any Italian lighting designer a run for ther money.
Pardo started his design career at DaimlerChrysler and then Toylab before starting his own studio in 1993. He continues to make more innovative lamps afer his success of the Sophie Lamp and the Picollo Lamp.
He is constantly challenging how we view the world and inspiring others with his fabulous designs.
