Throughout history there has been great change in furniture design, but by far the most rapid and revolutionary period of furniture history was the 20th Century.

20th Century Furniture applied new innovative methods of technology and manufacture as well as the introduction of new materials for construction. Furniture generally was no longer a handcraft, it had become a commercial industry.

Designs were created then passed on to the factories to manufacture and distribute to the retailer then the end user the customer. The choice of styles and designs were extensive and global.
