Feng Shui in Interior Design

Feng Shui for Improving Your Home Environment

Have you heard of Feng Shui?

It is the ancient Chinese practice of moving Chi through a space.

Chi?

Chi is said to be the life force that is present in everything.
Do you want to click onto another page right now? Well don’t. It isn’t all mumbo jumbo as some people think. Personally I swear by the principles of Feng Shui. We have had a consultant come into our home and prepare a Feng Shui report which we then implemented. It does create change and harmony, and definately more positive energy.
They weren’t major changes, simply moving furniture and ornaments around, making placements of colors, pictures, flowers and symbolic images. Opening windows and letting air flow through the house, closing doors in some places and keeping them open in others. Cleaning out cupboards and getting rid of clutter.
This may seem like common sense, but there are very strong and clear prinicples behind why we had to make changes. The only problem is that I don’t understand them all.
Anyway, I do know that by following what was in our Feng Shui report and making changes to our home, we have experienced many positive changes. More work has flowed our way, our health has become more stable, communication between family members has improved, we sleep better and we had another baby! This is the funny part. We have had the same consultant come on two separate occasions to our home, the first time we made the changes and we now have Emily, we have since moved house had another report done and Alexander, baby number two arrived. So the chi is definately flowing well in our home!
I did want to find out more about Feng Shui as I know that it works for us but wanted to know how to make subtle changes myself, so I have searched the internet and found a fantastic ebook. Feng Shui is starting to become more clear to me now and is quite fascinating.
If you want to know more you can find the ebook here. Fast Feng Shui by Stephanie Roberts It has so much information, clearly explained, and is very motivating, especially when lots of small changes in your life can make such a big difference to they way you feel and prosper.
Great if you want to implement New Years resolutions.
